How to read tarot cards
Decoding Tarot: A Beginner’s Guide
In a previous post, I shared my initial encounter with the Rider Waite tarot deck. My quest to answer the question, “What is tarot?” had begun. Now, I’m eager to delve deeper into understanding how to read these mystical cards.
Understanding the Cards: A New Approach
In that same post, I mentioned discovering the Biddy Tarot site. It was a treasure trove of information, sparking my enthusiasm for tarot. The site’s founder, Brigit, assured me that memorizing the meanings of the cards wasn’t necessary. This was a relief, as my previous attempts to learn the meanings had been overwhelming. So, what’s the alternative approach?
Biddy Tarot’s Webinar: A New Perspective
Intrigued, I signed up for the free webinar titled “How To Quickly Read Any Tarot Card Intuitively Without Memorising All 78 Cards”. Brigit’s passion for tarot was infectious. Her key message? Put away the tarot book! She encouraged me to trust my intuition. For instance, if I had a question about my spiritual development, I could draw a card and describe what I saw. This interpretation of the card’s imagery was a crucial first step.
Interpreting the Strength Card
To illustrate, I drew the Strength card. The card was vibrant with a woman calmly taming a lion. The infinity symbol hovered above her head. She was adorned with flowers, standing in harmony with the lion amidst nature. My interpretation? I am stronger and braver than I believe. I’m on the right path and should continue. As I wrote this, I felt a fear of being ‘wrong’. But I reminded myself that there’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ in tarot.
Numerology and Action
Brigit also touched on numerology. The Strength card, numbered eight, symbolizes action. This resonated with me. I was ready to act on my spiritual development.
The Journey Ahead
Brigit emphasized that learning to read tarot requires practice. I needed to familiarize myself with the cards and their multifaceted messages. It was comforting to know that supernatural abilities weren’t required. During the webinar, Brigit introduced her online course ‘Master the Tarot card meanings’. I felt a pull towards it. I was ready for the next step in my spiritual journey. The Strength card had already hinted at this.
