Oliver Luke Delorie is a multidimensional creative professional inspired to explore divinity via shadow boxing, dancing with duality, and expressing himself in playful ways. His mission is to connect, create, and celebrate with creatives of all ages. Nicknamed "monk" the day he was born, and steeped in Eastern philosophy and martial arts, Oliver Luke Delorie has a black belt in self-help, penning the playful "100 Small Ways to Quit Worrying" and "100 Small Ways to Manage Time," the philosophical "Wabi Sabi" and "Shinrin-Yoku," and the inspirational "Creative Manifestos," among several other books. He lives on Vancouver Island. When he was six years old, his parents bought him a mandolin and enrolled him in lessons at the same time he began singing in the choir and playing piano. He gave the flute a go in the fifth grade but discovered he was full of hot air! Thankfully, learning to play the guitar in high school turned out to be bully repellent, and playing the drums took him (and anyone who was listening) into outer space.Once upon a time, he taught workshops in elementary schools for an international development organization on topics like "Where Do Bananas Come From?" and later encouraged preschoolers to move to music in lively Montessori-style programs... or did they teach him? These experiences inspired him to hand-sew five faux fur balls known as "The Furry Five."
